Yeast Infection Information
Ways of treating male yeast infectionLuckily for many men who suffer from male yeast infection it is usually only a minor problem and can easily be treated using either anti-fungal creams or ointments. Normally male yeast infection occurs when a man has had sexual contact with a woman who has a yeast infection. But one important point to note that not every man who is exposed to a yeast infection will actually get one his self. However, there are certainly some men who are at a higher risk of getting a male yeast infection if they have either been circumcised or they suffer from diabetes. Some men have found that Monistat vaginal cream works well in treating their yeast infection even though it is more commonly used for the treatment of female yeast infections. However, if you wish to increase the potency of the cream you could add a few drops of white vinegar and then apply this to the affected area. In fact some men have reported that they have had greater success with this particular cream when they have included the white vinegar as well. But what a man should not do is actually apply white vinegar directly to the affected area as this can cause serious irritation to such a sensitive area of the body. Whilst those men who suffer with more chronic versions of the male yeast infection have found that the only way it can be treated effectively is by visiting their doctor and obtaining a prescription for either Diflucan or Nizoral. However, a man should only use Nizoral if it is absolutely necessary as it can be hard on the body's liver because it is such a powerful anti-fungal product. However, Diflucan is much safer and it can also be brought over the counter at your local pharmacy. Plus there is an FDA approved oral drug now available which often clears the male yeast infection with just one dose. However, probably the most successful way of preventing a man from getting a yeast infection is by them using a condom during sex. But should they come into contact and come infected with male yeast infection then the key to successfully treating it is by early intervention. It is vital that a man talks to his doctor as soon as they notice the first signs of a male yeast infection in order that they do not suffer needlessly in the future with it. |
